• Account Information: Email address, phone number, name, age, gender, city, and profile photos you provide during registration.
• Location Data: Your approximate location to show nearby restaurants and verify check-in at meetups. Location is only accessed when you use the app.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including meetups created, applications submitted, and chat messages.
• Payment Data: Payment information is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To match you with nearby meetups and dining partners
• To process deposits, refunds, and penalties through our payment provider
• To send push notifications about meetup updates, chat messages, and application status
• To verify your location for restaurant check-ins
• To enforce community guidelines and prevent abuse
• To improve the app experience and fix bugs

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

• Other Users: Your public profile (nickname, age, gender, city, bio, photos) is visible to other users during the meetup matching process.
• Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), and Sentry (crash reporting) to operate the service.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect safety.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app's Profile settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through your profile
• Correct inaccurate information by editing your profile
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of push notifications through device settings

7. Children's Privacy

MeetOverMeal is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
