Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MeetOverMeal ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MeetOverMeal. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must provide accurate and complete profile information.
You may not create accounts for others or transfer your account.
You can delete your account at any time through the Profile settings.

4. Meetup System & Deposits

Deposits: When you apply to join or host a meetup, a $5 USD deposit is temporarily frozen via Stripe.
Successful Meetup: If both parties check in at the restaurant, deposits are fully refunded.
No-show: If you fail to check in within the designated window, your deposit is forfeited to compensate the other party.
Cancellation: Free cancellation before a match. A $3 penalty applies after a match is confirmed.

5. Community Guidelines

You agree NOT to:

Post pornographic, violent, threatening, or abusive content
Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
Create fake or misleading profiles
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Spam or send unsolicited commercial messages
Attempt to circumvent the deposit system

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent device ban. We operate a 24-hour reporting and review system.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, messages, declarations). By posting content, you grant MeetOverMeal a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the App for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Blocking & Reporting

You can block or report any user at any time. Blocking a user during an active meetup may result in a cancellation penalty as described in Section 4.

8. Subscriptions & Purchases

Premium memberships and consumable items are available through in-app purchases.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Refunds for in-app purchases are subject to App Store / Google Play policies.

9. Disclaimer

MeetOverMeal is a platform that facilitates social connections. We are not responsible for the behavior of individual users. Always exercise personal judgment and caution when meeting someone in person.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetOverMeal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
